The church of Saint Germain

Built in 1780 above the grotto where Germain, first prior of Talloires Monastery,lived as an hermit from 1033 to 1060.Superb view on the bay of Talloires and the entire lake.









The castle of Menthon

Occupied by the same family for more than 1000 years,the château dominates the lake of Annecy.The guided tours shows you around this medieval fortress,transformed into a luxurious noble residence,furnished throughout.

Guided tour daily in July and August from 12pm to 6pm.
Open Fridays,Saturdays,Sundays and bank holidays in May,June,September,from 2pm to 6pm.

Talloires prior and Abbey

The first Prior Germain, with the help of the villagers of Talloires, built a nice and  tall church because the Chapel of Thiberge was fallen in ruins.
Monks take place rapidly on this setting and during six centuries, the Prior grows rich thanks to the gifts by bishops, Counts de Geneve and the Dukes of Savoie.
