Take your time and stroll on the "Rive Plein Soleil" and you can discover a multitude of historical or typical buildings.
The church of Saint GermainBuilt in 1780 above the grotto where Germain, first prior of Talloires Monastery,lived as an hermit from 1033 to 1060.Superb view on the bay of Talloires and the entire lake. The castle of MenthonOccupied by the same family for more than 1000 years,the château dominates the lake of Annecy.The guided tours shows you around this medieval fortress,transformed into a luxurious noble residence,furnished throughout. Guided tour daily in July and August from 12pm to 6pm. Open Fridays,Saturdays,Sundays and bank holidays in May,June,September,from 2pm to 6pm. Monks take place rapidly on this setting and during six centuries, the Prior grows rich thanks to the gifts by bishops, Counts de Geneve and the Dukes of Savoie. Veyrier du LacCastles, beautiful houses,traditional farms,let people discover little by little the story of thid old vine grower village.
