Veyrier-du-Lac is loved by painters, poets and nature passionate people.

Between the Mont Veyrier (1293m) and the lake, the village gets a lot of sunshine.

With footpaths, walkers can reach the top and discover a superb panorama of the Alps and the Mont-Blanc.

People who are passionnated by the lake of Annecy, can practise nautical sports and watch swans, coots and ducks.

In the past, the village was called Vairier d’Anecy.
Vairier becomes Veyrier-du-Lac, by statutory order, in 1901 the 18th of january (the Olympic games in 1901, the august 13).

This year, Veyrier du lac received the label "Pavillon Bleu".
