A lot of marked tracks will take you to the most picturesque spots in the area :

La Tournette

You can climb at the top of La Tournette, the highest mountain around the lake (2351 m).
Start from "Le Chalet de l'Aulp"
More difficult : start from the edge of the lake , difference in altitude 1904 m !

Le Château de Menthon

Half day walk to discover this castle , magnificient view on the lake and old vine grower houses in the heart of this preserved hamlets.

Le Mont Veyrier

A day walk to dominate the lake from le Mont Veyrier 1299 m
Amazing view on the lake of Annecy !

Le Roc de Chère

An immense rock overlooking the lake,the "Roc de Chère" dominates Talloires and Menthon and offers remarkable views over the lake.

The attraction of this grand 200 hectare wooded mountain does not stop there :its flora is astonishing!

Mediterranean species, like the "traveller madder"  or the "maple of Montpellier", meet plants preferring freshness and moisture, like the "rhododendron" or the "sphaignes".

To preserve this diversity,a part of the Roc de Chère has been classed as a natural reserve since 1977.
